Can someone please help ?

i had troubles pulling my tampons out every now and then and thought it was just the tampon being to absorbent but i actually looked down this time and noticed that a loop of tissue was wrapped over the tampon once... i had to push the tampon back in and pull the loop of tissue off the edge of the tampon to get the tampon totally out.... i looked this up and i believe that it was my hymen .. i had the problem pulling my tampon out before i had my "Cherry" popped but never looked down to see why..i just noticed the tissue a day ago... observant i know >.< .. is this my hymen? and can i get it removed? and is it a good idea? i haven't had sex since it was fully popped .. will it be painful having sex if i don't get it removed? (lost my virginity about 3 weeks 4 weeks ago..) ask questions that will help and please get back to me if u do..
