I think i added too much ammonia to my tank...?

i put in like half of a disposable cup(the medium ones) and when i put it in the tank got super cloudy i couldnt see anything, this morning it cleared out a little but not the external's filter hose that goes in the tank has white stuff on it which is from the ammonia and the glass seems to have ammonia spots and the pebbles too, i think i added too much, but am i suppossed to keep adding more everyday? if yes when should i stop? and when 24 hours pass since i added the ammonia if everything is at zero like ammonia nitrite and nitrate that means its cycled right? the tank is 30 gallons and it will be a freshwater tank for 3 platies,1 dwarf gourami,5 glofish,5 cherry barbs,4 julii cories,and maybe 5 neons. but i need to know when to stop adding ammonia because i had added ammonia the first day then stopped because nitrite appered and someone told me to stop when nitrite appeared but now people told me to add more to restart and thats what i did so please help me i know how the cycle goes because i have cycled a 10 gallon tank already.
