Breeding Guppies Info?

Okay, I have a 10 gallon tank and a 2 gallon tank, I have 2 male guppies, 1 corycatfish, 1 cherry shrimp. My local fish store has agreed to take in guppies for money that I raised, and I was wondering do I need another tank if I dont want them to have so many babies, I just want 1 batch a a time? Or could I just use a 5 gallon bucket to keep 1 or 2 females in with a sponge filter? Please help, I dont want to spend a ton of money.. I have no fish in the 2 gallon tank at the moment, I was planning on using it for the fry.. I have researched alot too..
