Dell Shipping?Order status changed over phone. Do i have to confirm it?

I originally ordered my purchase with 5-7 day shipping and i have recently called and spoke to someone who changed it for me free of charge to next buisness day shipping. do they have to call me to confirm the change? i called on the number that i provided in my order, and they asked for my ccell number and asked what time i would mostly happily accept call and i said before 10 o clock. right now in india its 4:30 am and i spoke to a representative in india. i am SOOO confused.
