I lied about my cherry being popped?

my bf fingered me last night for maybe like the fifth time, but he stopped all of the sudden and asked if anyone ever popped my cherry. it caught me off gaurd and I just said yeah before even thinking because I have done stuff with other boyfriends before. he seemed like he didn't believe me. I'm guessing he asked because he knew he just popped it. but I feel bad for telliing him yes. should I tell him the truth or just let it go? I feel like it was pretty obvious I was lying since he knew he popped it.
